This policy explains what information sadesaticalculator.com/ (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and what choices you have. We have tried to write it plainly rather than in legal boilerplate.
Who we are

What information do we collect?
We collect only what the service needs to work.
- Birth details you enter into the calculator — date, time and place of birth. These are used to compute your chart and Sade Sati result. [STATE YOUR ACTUAL PRACTICE: e.g. “These are processed to generate your result and are not stored after your session” OR “These are stored with your order so we can generate your report.” Pick the true one.]
- Order and contact information — if you buy a report, your email address and payment reference, so we can deliver the report and confirm payment. We use UPI; we do not see or store your full banking details — those are handled by your payment app.
- Messages you send us — the content of emails or form submissions, kept so we can respond and keep a record of the request.
- Automatically collected usage data — standard analytics such as pages visited, approximate location (from IP), device and browser type. [NAME YOUR ANALYTICS, e.g. “We use Google Analytics” — or state if you use a privacy-friendly alternative or none.]
Why do we use it, and on what basis?
We use your information to:
- generate your Sade Sati result and, if you buy one, your report;
- deliver reports and confirm payment;
- respond to your messages;
- understand how the site is used, so we can improve it;
- meet any legal or accounting obligations.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes, and we do not show third-party advertising that profiles you. Your birth details are used to generate your result and your report, and for nothing else.
Who do we share it with?
We share data only with the service providers that make the site work, and only as needed:
- Payment: your UPI app and bank process the payment; we receive a confirmation reference.
- Email delivery: [NAME YOUR EMAIL/SMTP PROVIDER IF ANY, e.g. “our hosting mail service” or a provider like Brevo/Mailgun].
- Hosting and analytics: our web host stores the site and its files; an analytics provider processes anonymised usage data such as page views and approximate region. Neither receives your birth details for any purpose of their own.
We may disclose information if required by law.
How long do we keep it?
- Birth details: for a free calculation, they are used to produce your result and are not stored against your identity afterwards. If you buy a report, they are retained with that order so the report can be reproduced or corrected, and are deleted on request.
- Order records: kept for eight years, to meet accounting and tax requirements in India.
- Messages: kept for two years, then deleted.
- Analytics: retained for fourteen months in aggregated form, and never linked to your birth details.
What are your rights?
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to certain processing, and to receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these, email support@sadesaticalculator.com and we will respond within the period required by law.
If you are in India, this includes rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. If you are in the EU or UK, this includes your rights under the GDPR.
Cookies
We use cookies for two things only: essential site function, such as remembering that a page has loaded correctly, and anonymised analytics. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; the calculator works with analytics cookies blocked.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has submitted birth details here, email support@sadesaticalculator.com and we will delete the record.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed, and material changes will be noted on this page.
